An Expression of Diversity

The visual image of our logo is called “Wildwappen” which means “wild coat of arms”. The main protagonists of our new word-image-brand are two springboks. This Southafrican antelope species lives in flocks. Their beautiful coat and their stunning elegance take the aesthete’s breath away. Moreover, springboks are among the fastest mammals on earth. They are extremely agile and master standing jumps up to four meters into the air. For us the springbok is the symbol of diversity, dynamics and divine impression.

Behind the graphic structure of our wild coat of arms loom the Big Five. These are the five African animals which used to be the prefered prey of big game hunters: lion, elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo and leopard. Our coat of arms pictures these safari grandees in stylized shape: the lion’s tail, the buffalo’s horn, the leopard’s tooth, the elephant’s trunk and the rhino’s horn. These five animals symbolize our agency’s strengths (see “Game Specialties”).
